We’ve had another really busy and productive year at The Personnel Partnership!

We’ve welcomed on board eight new clients and have been delighted to continue working with our already established clients.

We’ve worked on all manner of HR and Learning and Development , such as helping you to manage your tricky employee relations issues, guided you through restructures, helped you recruit some great new team members and we’ve held your hand as we dealt with some very sensitive sickness absence issues. We’ve developed your HR and Learning and Development strategies and we’ve delivered so many different HR workshops for you and your Managers.

We were very sad that Jane Johnston, one of our fantastic associates decided to leave the HR world due to the sudden death of her husband earlier this year.  We regularly catch up with Jane and always pass on your best wishes as requested.

We were delighted to welcome Kate Booth as a new associate and she’s really enjoyed working with some of you over the last few months.

Here’s a small selection of our activities in 2019:

January
It’s always a cold month, but we were so busy we managed to keep nice and warm!  We developed and delivered a pilot course for City of York Council on Dealing with Disciplinary Issues.  We received some great feedback and really enjoyed working with all the delegates to ensure that the course was ready to roll out.

February and March
We led and facilitated a number of sessions at the beautiful Yorkshire Sculpture Park for one of our clients to help them develop their values and behaviours.  We had a great time and this culminated in some fantastic values developed by a small Focus Group who were brought together to specifically work on this project. If you’d like to have a chat about developing your company values or ensuring your existing values are embedded in your business, get in touch as this is one of our speciality areas.

April
We’ve now been in our wonderful office at Heritage Exchange for two years and we’re so pleased that many of you have been to visit us (and The Deli next door!).  It’s a great place for you to get away from your workplace and discuss HR in a peaceful and confidential setting.  If you haven’t visited yet, do pop in and see us in the New Year.

July
Just as we were due to go on holiday, there seemed to be lots of employee relations issues to help you deal with.  There were disciplinary issues, grievances, sickness absence issues and other tricky employee relationships to manage.  Luckily, Kate was available to ensure that everything ran smoothly whilst we were on holiday.

August and September
Usually quieter months for us, but not this year!  We were full on dealing with more employee relations issues and developing HR and Learning and Development Strategies too.

December
As the year comes to a close, we’ve been delighted to deliver yet more training and also get to know some of our newer clients by meeting their teams and talking about how we can add value to their business. If you’d like us to be a regular visitor to your business and be an active part of your management team, talk to us about how this can work in practice.

We also have some very exciting news to share with you but we’re not allowed to tell you just yet, so we promise that you’ll be the first to know in January 2020 via a special newsletter!  Watch this space!

Christmas and New Year opening hours
We close for Christmas on Friday 20 December and we’re back open for business on Monday 6 January.  However, as ever, if you do have any HR issues over the festive period, please do get in touch via email, helen@thepersonnelpartnership.co.uk or via Helen’s mobile 07808 064099 and we’re always happy to assist.

We wish you all a wonderful Christmas, a very happy new year and we very much look forward to working with you in 2020.
