Employee Relations Case Study

The Personnel Partnership has recently worked with a client on a collective consultation redundancy programme. We were able to support the HR Manager, prepare an action plan with timetable so that the right actions were taken at the right time, provide all the necessary paperwork and advise on the best way to work effectively with the Trade Union and Employee Representatives.

Even though a redundancy programme is a very challenging and emotional process, it has progressed smoothly and the client is ready to work with existing employees and take the business forwards.

Attendance Management Case Study

A client had a problem with an employee who was absent due to sickness for short periods of time.  The length of absence was never enough to warrant a medical certificate from his GP. We could see that he was struggling with certain aspects of his work and therefore we arranged to meet with him and discuss his levels of absence and explain how his absence impacted on the business and find out what we could do to help and support.

We also asked if there were any underlying reasons for his absence and got his agreement to seek further detailed medical advice from his GP.

Following further discussions with the employee, our aim of a significant and sustained improvement in his attendance has been achieved.  The employee feels supported in the workplace and measures have been put in place to assist him.  Payments of sick pay are no longer being made and morale in the team has improved as the employee is now playing a significant part in achieving the team goals.

Learning and Development Case Study

A client had recently promoted a number of managers to form a Senior Management Group. They required training in how to manage their teams and also work together as a collective group.

The Personnel Partnership developed a number of bespoke modules to provide this training including; Back to basics on HR, Effective Performance Management, Teambuilding, Coaching Skills, Effective Recruitment, Leading Change and implementing values and dealing with difficult people issues.

We received excellent feedback from both the delegates and our client, with an overall view that the training made a positive impact on both the individuals involved and the company as a whole.
